Security issues tormented the IT industry, but this time software giant Microsoft wasn't a victim. Cisco's proprietary IOS code was leaked and CVS was found to be critically flawed, while Apple suffered from yet another Mac OS X hole. ICANN decided it would need twice the money it is spending this fiscal year, drawing ire from most of the registrars. Apple split its hardware development making more room for the blossoming iPod.
